Woman Entrepreneur of the Year
A creative business woman picked up an accolade at the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in November at the Hilton in Gateshead.
Liz Bassnett of Push Creative, Design and Marketing Communications received the honour of runner-up for Best Cultural and Creative Category, presented by The Arts Council at the annual awards for Women into the Network.
Her fast growing design and marketing communications agency is based at the landmark Quadrus Centre in Boldon.
She said “I was over the moon when I received the letter first telling me I was short-listed and couldn’t contain my excitement when I actually went up to receive my award.
I am so proud to be bringing this honour back to South Tyneside, the regional capital of enterprise. It caps an amazing 12 months for me all round.”
The awards were established in 1999 by Women into the Network at Durham Business School and are specifically aimed at women owning or managing businesses in the region.
